It’s about a community and global eco-system where artists get together and organize events. Burning Man is a festival described as “a global ecosystem of artists, gathering locals, free economy and community organizers. They create such events and initiatives globally. It is important to know that this global Burning Man community organizes events locally in more than 35 countries.

The festival, as suggested from its name, is also the burning of a large wooden structure called, ‘the Man’ on the 2nd night of the festival.

During the festival, “people from communities arrive in groups and start with theme “camps” in order to pay their part to the festival in.  These camps usually provide services for the participants on their own and, in return, expect nothing to receive like, ‘Free Economy’. This event is in progress and has been held each year since 1986.

This year Burning Man festival:

The location of the Festival is Black Rock City; it’s in the middle of a black rock desert in the city of Nevada. The location of the festival is far away from big cities and the distance is about 227km from Reno.

What went wrong this year?

Thousands of the participants of the event were stuck in mud due to heavy rain in parts of the western US state of Nevada. Due to deep mud caused by heavy rain, more than 70,000 people were stuck in the middle.

Due to such conditions and to avoid mess, road closures were implemented by authorities before the Sunday night. Where the festival’s giant wooden effigy was supposed to have been burned. A participant of the Burning Man also died, aged ‘40’ and the cause of the death is unknown, as per officials.
